Rita
Sturzbecher Rita arrived in the United States in 2003, finalizing a 30 year career as a Registered Nurse to focus on her fascination for baking. Rita discovered some years ago that a gluten free life style represented a major improvement in her wellbeing. It was a considerable adjustment to regain her personal standards baking gluten free, but the effort was well worth it. The Little Aussie Bakery & Cafe™ became the medium in which those high standards were regained, through personal reinvention, culminating in national recognition as one of America's top ten artisan bakers. Rita continues to tantalize the taste buds of all who sit at her table, with or without food restrictions. |

John Apostolovic John, also a Registered Nurse, with a fiery lust for good food, joined with Rita in putting together The Little Aussie Bakery and Cafe™. When John also embraced a gluten free lifestyle, he quickly identified major improvements in health, only months after being gluten free. John left nursing two years after opening the bakery to support Rita in the marketing and other administrative aspects of the business. Now one of John's favorite functions is to taste the food, which he enjoys with particular relish. This gives him all the material he needs to entice other folk to also taste the food. |

Brittany Brittany has returned to us after a year of archeological adventures in the depths of the Florida jungle. We are very excited to have her back and I am sure those of you who know Brittany will be, too. Those of you who don't, will be soon. |

Hannah Hannah is the third accent at the bakery and our youngest daughter. She started waiting tables with us and has been with us off and on since we opened; more off than on, but now Hannah has discovered that she has quite a talent in the kitchen. Can't imagine where she got that? She just seemed to know how to bake by osmosis. Lucky us. |

Ron Ron is an extraordinary baker with way too much experience for any one person to have rights to within the limits of a single lifetime. He managed to re-educate himself to our allergy friendly way of doing things in short order, making himself one of our mainstays in the kitchen. |

Beth Beth joined us from country Louisiana. She is here in San Antonio to complete her studies and to look after our awesome customers, not necessarily in that order. We are delighted to have Beth with us and I am sure you will be too. |
