Shipping & In-Store Pick Up Policies

AN IMPORTANT FOREWORD ON ORDER FULFILLMENT: 

Some of our listed products are available only for in-store pickup, and cannot be shipped. Orders must be placed before 6pm to be fulfilled the next day. We also require 48 hour advance notice for the ordering of items, such as cakes and ready made goods, and produce others on a limited basis, which affects their availability for pickup and shipment. Be aware when selecting shipment methods that products are only guaranteed 3 days from the date of ship.

Please read our shipping and in-store pick up policies and procedures in their entirety to ensure your order is complete and available when you'd like. 

Shipping Order Policies and Procedures 

Your agreement to these terms and conditions is implicit in having purchased items online.

Service Limitations:
  • Shipment is only available within the US 48 Continental States
  • Each shipping address counts as 1 order and shipping applies to each order
Product Limitations:
  • Cakes, pies, pastry items, ready-made goods, and all items that require refrigeration cannot be shipped
3-Day Quality Guarantee: We guarantee the condition of product's arrival related to factors of spoilage within 3 days transit time.
  • In other words, we guarantee that a product arriving three (3) days from its date of ship to be in unspoiled condition.
  • Be aware when electing shipment methods estimated to arrive beyond the "3-Day Quality Guarantee" that we will not be accountable for its condition upon arriving outside the stated terms and guarantee
  • The date of shipment is determined following the shipping elections made by the customer, and our "3-Day Quality Guarantee."
    • When a customer elects a service in which it is possible to ship using ground within 3 days, the order will ship at the next continuous 3 day window. Depending on the destination and day of the week, shipping may dispatch the next day
    • When a customer elects expedited service, it will be shipped accordingly
    • In the instance of a free shipping promotional code used, The Little Aussie Bakery will honor still the 3-Day Quality Guarantee, and reserves the right to use at our discretion, either FedEx, UPS, or USPS for delivery.
Carriers:
  • Current, available handlers for shipment are FedEx, UPS, and USPS. Please be aware when selecting between carriers that:
    • UPS and FedEx guarantee delivery by the estimated date at no extra cost. USPS provides insurance of product and delivery with extra fee.
    • USPS will deliver on Saturday at no extra charge. UPS and Fed Ex provide Saturday delivery with an additional charge. 
  • The shipping information and your delivery Tracking Number will be emailed to the address provided at checkout, so you may track your own package. Please check with the appropriate service provider (fedex.com, ups.com, or usps.com) for delivery details.
  • The Little Aussie Bakery & Cafe will not be held responsible for delays in shipping or other shipping issues that may arise with the carrier, FedEx, UPS, or USPS. All delivery questions, claims or complaints  should be submitted directly to FedEx, UPS, or USPS. Please only contact The Little Aussie Bakery & Cafe if you have questions concerning the actual products.
Returns:
  • All claims for replacement or refund based on the condition of product's arrival related to factors of spoilage within our 3 day transit time, as opposed to claims of physical damage related to the process of transportation,
  • must be sent to us by email to onlineorders@thelittleaussiebakery.com within 24 hours of tracked delivery time and date. Claims received outside of this time frame will not be considered.
  • A claim form will be sent out for completion. At our discretion and expense, we may request the return of items subject to the claim. Upon receipt of a request the return of items subject to claim, your claim will be held in suspense until such items are returned.
  • With due consideration of your claim, and at our discretion, we will either replace the affected product or provide a refund.

In-Store Pick Up Order Policies and Procedures 

Your agreement to these terms and conditions is implicit in having purchased items online.

  1. For next day pick up, orders MUST be placed before 6:00 p.m. CST.
  2. All orders made before 6pm CST will automatically be applied to the next day we are open for business, unless you specify in the comment box in your shopping cart a later date and time you prefer. Your preference can also be emailed to us at the time you order your product: onlineorders@thelittleaussiebakery.com
    1. this is with the exclusion of Sundays. As we are closed Monday, all orders placed on Sunday will be made available for pickup Tuesday, unless otherwise specified
  3.  Orders not picked up on the day stipulated will be frozen for the customer for a period of not longer than 48 hours. Once product is made for a customer order it will not be reproduced because of a failure to pick up. While it is our intention to keep your order for you, we will not accept responsibility for any product left at the bakery longer than the designated day of pick up, unless alternative arrangements have been pre-made by the customer.
  4. With regard to online cake orders: a 48 hour period is automatically applied from the time of ordering. Other time frames must be negotiated by phone with staff (210-624-1242).
Weekly Specials In-Store Pickup Orders Policies and Procedures
By participating in our weekly pre-paid, pre-ordered specials program you are agreeing to abide by the following conditions:
  1. A day must be designated for pick up within 7 days of ordering at the time the order is submitted. This may be communicated either in the comment box of the shopping cart, or in a separate email to: onlineorders@thelittleaussiebakery.com
  2. In the event that an order is submitted without a pick up day being designated, the order will be produced for pick up on the next business day.
  3. "Pre-order pre-pay specials" will under no circumstances be reproduced following failure to pick up.
  4. Refunds will be made for unfulfilled orders only upon request, and with the production of a receipt for Paypal orders, or if ordered by phone, with the confirmation of your order in our order book.
  5. This offer cannot be used in combination with any other promotion.
  6. This special must be pre-ordered and pre-paid by midnight of the Thursday following the start date of the special.
