Before Ryuko’s finale battle with Ragyo, Mako asks her on a “date” which she explains is just a hangout, and kisses her on the cheek during one of her Mako Theaters. Ryuko agrees to this date, before going off into to space to defeat Ragyo.

If you didn’t know anything about Kill La Kill, the Ryuko and Satsuki ship might actually seem like a good pairing, but fans of the series know it’s anything but.
