Why won’t the device stay on the downspout?
The holes to distribute the water are on the far end of the device, so if there is not enough rain to fully extend the hose, the water just sits in it. The zip-tie used to attach the device to the downspout is not sufficient to hold it on, even when tightened as much as possible over the seal. The device fell off the downspout after about 1 month.
