What is a Crumble device?
A Crumble is a very low-cost electronics controller that connects to a computer using a USB cable. You can attach components like LEDs, buttons, and motors to the Crumble using crocodile leads, and you can program your Crumble using free software.
What is a Crumble board?
The crumble is an electronic board which you can attach up to two motors, lights, buzzers etc and attach lots of switches and sensors to control how they operate. It plugs into your pc via usb and you can program it via the free drag and drop crumble software.
What is a Crumble microcontroller?
The Crumble is an easy-to-use programmable controller. It can drive 2 motors forwards and backwards at variable speeds. It has 4 IO (Input/Output) pads which allow connections to switches, LDRs, low power LEDs and so on.
What is crumble coding?
Crumble code is a simple introductory computing lesson. Pupils get to design messages using the colour code sheet. They then wire up the Crumble to two Sparkle programmable lights using the Crumble maker cards and convert the code algorithm into Crumble code blocks. There is also an optional code challenge homework.
What is the crumble?
The Crumble is an easy-to-use programmable controller. It can drive 2 motors forwards and backwards at variable speeds. It has 4 IO (Input/Output) pads which allow connections to switches, LDRs, low power LEDs and so on. Why? The Crumble has been designed to encourage tinkering, using ‘croc leads’ for quick and simple connections.
What’s new in the latest version of crumble?
This version has been released to allow some of the new improvements coming in the next major update to be used now. Several optimisations to the Crumble compiler means (typically) more than double the amount of code will fit in the Crumble. Added a Sparkle Baton block.
How much does the crumble software cost?
End-User License Agreement The Crumble software is free to download and install on as many machines as you need for the purposes of programming the Crumble Controller. You can find the full EULA here.
What does the stop button on the crumble do?
Stop button now turns all Sparkles off and stops servos (i.e. they behave in the same way as motors) Fix a programming bug that meant the Crumble firmware could become corrupted in rare circumstances (this is a recommended update)
