The mast is positioned about 5′ forward of the rod holder where the farthest rod forward sits. As you are aware if you have run boards, during a turn the outside tow line ends up closer to the rods on that side, in some cases touching.

Can you use planer boards with lead core?
Here it is. I use a couple different size rods to run more than 2 lines, but planer boards will work. I’ve used the Church boards before and just clipped it directly to the leadcore. We ran them about 15 feet off of the side of the boat just far enough to prevent tangles.
How fast do you troll bottom bouncers?
Before the bottom bouncer can be set, the boat’s forward speed must be established and maintained. Speeding up and slowing down makes it impossible to set a bottom bouncer rig and keep it fishing properly. A good trolling speed for bottom bouncer fishing ranges from 1.0 MPH to about 1.5 MPH.
