What is the difference between a recruiter and a headhunter?

What is the difference between a recruiter and a headhunter?

A headhunter is an individual or company that finds potential candidates for the position(s) that a company is looking to fill. A headhunter does not generally do any hiring. A recruiter is someone who works with the hiring process itself. They generally post job openings and are the initial contact person.

Are recruiting companies worth it?

Who recruiters can help least in their job search: But most companies won’t pay recruiting agencies to fill entry level jobs because they can find enough people on their own. (Remember, employers pay a 15-25% fee if they hire someone through a recruiter, so they have to decide if it’s worth it for each job!)

Is it worth going through a recruitment agency?

Some agencies are better than others, some can get you the job while most just waste time. Having said that, it’s never not worth a try. In the world of job-searching, the more avenues you explore, the more chances and opportunities you have.
